Anthopology of Voicing: A word and Act in a island society of Palau, East west Pacific.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the process of transformation of the oral tradition culture and its practice through fieldwork in Palau, Micronesia. Palauan language which is in a crisis of decline in the situation of globalization. It is said that “half of the village’s history disappears if one old man dies,”
By focusing on the acts of words by people of this “voicing”, this research is aimed at (1) contrasting with character culture, (2) in the theory of modernization, It is an attempt to overcome the interpretation of cultural change, and to position it as a voicing practice including “voicing” as an interaction in the society, or textualization.
