Research Interests

・Radar-based rainfall estimation and understanding of precipitation process in tropical peatland in Indonesia
・Utilization of disaster prevention weather information
・Characteristics of electromagnetic scattering of particles that float in the air in the occurrences of haze

The main research theme is to construct a weather information network in terms of disaster management about fire in tropical peatland in Indonesia, based on the following (1) and (2). (1) For understanding the water balance of precipitation in tropical peatland in Indonesia, grasp of precipitation process and estimate rainfall by using radar, (2) Understanding of characteristics of radar wave scattering of particles that float in the air in the occurrences of haze.
